This policy describes what Housli ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to run a household coordination app, and we do not sell personal information.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we show no ads. We do not use session replay.
To provide and improve the Service: authenticate you, sync your household's data between members, deliver notifications you enabled, apply feature access rules, understand whether core product flows work, and keep the Service secure. We do not use your content for advertising or to train AI models.
Your household content is visible to the members of your household. We share data only with the processors needed to run the Service: our hosting provider (Hetzner, servers in the USA/EU), PostHog Cloud US (product analytics), Apple and Google (sign-in and push delivery), and Expo (push delivery). We disclose data if required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual content in the app at any time. To permanently delete your account, open Housli Settings, expand Advanced, tap Delete account, and follow the confirmation steps. The active account and associated personal data are removed when deletion succeeds. Other household members may retain shared household content as described by the confirmation screen. Backups roll off on a fixed schedule, and we may retain minimal records when required for legal or security reasons. If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] for help.
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within the legally required time. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, so there is no opt-out to exercise.
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Session tokens are stored only as hashes, traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and household data is scoped server-side to household members. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to the contact below.
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
